The first Silence Meal took place on a dark and stormy November evening in Suomenlinna. After a month long residency, it was produced for the artist and invited guests, including Daniel Vödzke, a German art critic from Monopol art magazine, who flew to Finland to experience the performance and to meet the participating artists of the Silence Project. A simple Finnish fish soup was served.
